Craft People’s Choice Awards – Categories are Homemade/Handcrafted Baked Goods, Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting, Photography, Jewellery, Wood Working, Paintings, Sewing Crafts and Miscellaneous – Contact Bev Ledden.
Food-Hamburgers/Smoked dogs available at the Hall – Canteen also available.
8:00 am – Devin Bezanson Memorial Ball Tournament starts today and continues on Sunday at the Moser River Ball Field located behind the Eastern Consolidated. Contact Katie Levy at 902-347-2664 for more info.
9:00 am – 3:00 pm – McMann House Open
Parade Theme: Canada Celebrates 150 years – Moser River Over the Years!
9:30 am – Parade Participants line up along the United Church Loop
10:00 am Parade starts – Contact Ed Douma at 1-902-800-2751
Categories include- First & Second place awards for Antique Cars, Decorated ATV’s, Boats, Bicycles, Horses, Motorcycle, Commercial, Non-Commercial, Most Original, Most Humorous, Dressed–Up Walkers, Best Children’s Float (memory of Simon Bureau) and Best Overall Float. Route: Line up on Church Loop, Enter # 7 Highway across from the United Church, proceed east on # 7 highway through the Community, turning left at Moser River North Road, parking along Moser River North Road and into Moser River Community Hall on west side of the Moser River
Fire Hall. (Volunteers will assist with parking) Awards will take place inside the Moser River Community Hall.
1:00 -4:00 pm – Games Galore at the Moser River Park
Cost: $5.00 at the gate per person- when you win you will receive a ticket and the tickets can be exchanged for prizes in the River Community Centre Building
(1-15 tickets – small prizes to select from: 16-30 tickets – bigger prizes to choose from and over 30 – the Grand prizes to pick from) Face and nail painting available.
4:00 – 6:00 pm – Cold Plate Supper with real ham and turkey, salads, rolls, desserts, juice, tea, coffee – at the Moser River Community Hall
Costs: Adults – $12.00 per person; Students – $6.00 per person, and children with parents under 5 are free. (Put on by St. Mary’s Anglican Church Members)
8:00 pm – Merchandise Chip Bingo (Doors open at 7:00pm)
Sunday, July 30, 2017
2:00pm-Outdoor Community Flower Service at the “Old Cemetery” in Moser River. Free will offerings accepted for the care/upkeep of the cemetery. There will be a time in the service to place your flowers on the graves.
7:00pm – Variety Show at the Moser River Community Hall
Cost: $5.00 per person.
Fireworks at the park following the Variety Show – Provided by Native Council Zone 11
